I am not sure Thad Matta needs help from anyone - His record is his best defense - See HERE
Yes! There are at least 110 miles of terrific running trails in Central Ohio. Read the post listed HERE for the whole scoop.
I am an avid trail runner and as such care a lot about my feet. I have had a number of injuries in the past ranging from plantar fasciitis, Achilles strain to ITB syndrome. It is a real frustration to not be able to get out and run. It effects every other part of my life. So, I am careful with what I wear - and am reluctant to change when I find something that works. For instance, when I found that the Black Superfeet inserts cured my plantar fasciitis I got them for ALL of my shoes and wear them always. I had worn Ascics for many years and loved them. I could get them in Black which I liked since I sometimes wore them to work, When I started having more trouble with my Achilles I searched for another shoe to try and after a few false started stubled upon the Hoka Stinson ATR. See the video for my review. I have tried other Hoka ATR shoes and they did not work well for me but the Stinson's have and I credit them for allowing me to build some decent mileage again. I had a great day of trail running at Zaleski Backpack Trail - One of my VERY favorite places. There is about 26 miles of terrific single track trails there with MANY hills! The day was moderate cold - just above freezing - but that was perfect for a nice run - I did not get overheated. I did the 10+ main loop. There are many nice views during the run. Many miles of ridge running. Check out the attached youtube showing one of the more scenic areas. I will post the whole run later. The trail system around Alum Creek Reservoir is substantial. All told there is about 56 miles of trails (read more HERE) . nathanielmauger.blogspot.com/2017/01/alum-creek-running-trails-56-miles-of.html |
